Knowledene self-catering flats are ideally situated for viewing the Blackpool Illuminations which are "switched on" in early September and "off" in early November.
There are about 5 miles of continuous displays along the promenade. The photo opposite shows a tram passing Uncle Tom's Cabin which is near our holiday flats.
This is a famous landmark in Blackpool and was established in the 1800s. Originally it was sited at the top of the cliffs. At some stage, the wooden structure fell was re-built in its present position across the road from the beach.

Apartments is located approximately two minutes' walk down the road between
them.
Opposite is the roundabout at Gynn Square (known as the Magic
Roundabout) as it was up to last year. It is about five minutes' walk from
Knowledene Holiday Flats.
Behind is the Gynn pub, which provides good food, and is children
friendly.
During the Illuminations, we accept part week (Mon - Fri and Fri - Mon) as well
as full week bookings.Please enquire for further details.
